Faire Costumes

A chemise is the garment worn under the bodice and skirt, closest to the skin. In current terms it would be called a blouse, top, or shirt. It is typically loose with a gathering string around the neck and arms. The material will be most comfortable if it is a natural fabric (cotton or linen). The chemise can be full, calf, or thigh length.

Paired with a bodice and skirt, you'll have the minimum garb to be ready for Faire. After that, it's all about the fun of accessorizing!!
